I will add Serse’s expenses for Taiwanese passport and Taiwan residence registration to the costs already tracked before for the Italian passport, so to have a complete overview of Baby Serse Costs. I went to the Stattskanzlei to legalize birth certificate and yellow vaccination booklet. The legalization on the yellow booklet was a joke: the booklet is so small and crammed with writing that the lady at the counter didn’t know where to put the stamp, so she GLUED AND STAPLED an additional piece of paper to the booklet and applied the stamps and signature there. AYFKM. Then we packed all the documents and forms and went to the Gingerbread House in Bern. Here are the costs:
- Serse’s new birth certificate: 30 CHF + 15 CHF express fee + 1.10 CHF return stamp. Total: 46.10 CHF.
- Staatskanzlei legalization of the yellow vaccination booklet: 22 CHF.
- Staatskanzlei legalization of the birth certificate: 15 CHF.
- Transportation costs: 116.10 CHF.
- Return stamp and envelope for the Gingerbread House: 5.30 CHF.
- Cost for birth certificate legalization at Bern: 14 CHF + 7 CHF express fee. Total: 21 CHF.
- Cost for yellow vaccination booklet legalization at Bern: (14 CHF + 7 CHF express fee) * 3 times because AYFKM they need to legalize separately the 2 pages with the vaccinations labels AND the piece of paper with the Staatskanzlei stamp. Total: 63 CHF.
RidiculouslyShamefullyCriminally overpricedCost for color copies of the yellow booklet and Serse’s residence permit that apparently we forgot to do at home and had to be done at the Gingerbread House on theirsuper luxuriouscolor printer: 7 CHF.
Plus the previous 506 CHF we are now at about 801.50 CHF.
